Ranok (ранок) is the Ukrainian word for morning. The first quiet hours of a day, when the light is still soft, the house is still half-asleep, and the day hasn’t yet asked anything of you.
It is the part of the trip we think about most when we make a house. How it will feel to wake up in. We named the company for it.
A house is not a hotel.
It should not behave like one.
Ranok began with a simple observation. The most memorable stays of our lives were not in the largest rooms or the most decorated lobbies, but in private homes. Homes furnished with real things, kept with real care, in places worth the journey.
So we set out to build a small group of those homes. Beautifully made, kept properly, owned and run by us.
Owned, not assembled.
Every house in the Ranok collection belongs to us. We choose each for its setting, then furnish and keep it the way we’d want for ourselves. Real wood. Honest linens. Lighting tuned for evenings as well as mornings. Standards we don’t compromise on, anywhere in the house.
The result is not a portfolio of rooms but a register of houses. Small, considered, fiercely consistent.
